Chris Christie you have proved to me...

That in 2012 I will picket outside you're debates how much of an elitist, sexist man you really are.
I have NOT been you're fan since you clearly ignored my question about college students who do not get aid, and have parents who don't make enough money to send there students to school. At The time I asked this question, I was a student with one working parent who was not eligible for grants. You didn't answer the question, and you rambled on. Then you cut education costs in NJ and cut money for the state loan I take out, where I couldn't get money for my summer course.

After watching this video, it was clear to me just how you are, and I have one thing to say to you: Mr. Christie when you are an elected official it is our business why you do certain things. I find it funny you cut education costs and THEN send you're children to private school. And if you were so religious you wouldn't be so rude! You are an elitist pig, and i'm getting sick of you're helicopter joy-riding. I do NOT remember Corzine ever joy-riding in a helicopter when he was in office.
I think it is insane that people in our country actually appreciate you and think you're doing a good job! They have not lived in a state where education costs have been cut, and people who are trying to find jobs are constantly being laid off due to this. They also have not lived in a state where the governor joyrides in a state helicopter 36 times in 18 months! The last person to do this was Christie Whitman, and then she did not get re-elected.

And just so you know Chris Christie, if you don't finish you're term which you promised you would to run for President you might as well count NJ out for elections. I wouldn't vote for you EVER.

phew, now that i've got that off my chest I feel a little better.
I always joke that if you gave me a good republican to like I would consider it...but puh-lease your republicans have NO one good. All you're examples are so extreme it makes me sick.
The only republican who could convert me you seem to not like so much: Meghan McCain. She needs to run for office, cause she has a brain!!

Till next time,
Katie Ryan.

JETS!

So I will admit, I know nothing about football, or sports really for that matter. I just know I am a New York sports fan. I root for the mets cause I was born in Queens in '86 the year the mets won the world series. I watched WNBA for the longest time since I had met Rebbecca Lobo when I was 9 years old, and I only watch football when accompanied by a drink, and a few friends. My fondest memory of football is Rutgers Vs. Louisville. I was at a house right off of Easton Ave and College Ave in New Brunswick...i was pretty much in the center of the celebrating.
Oh, and I appreciate Micheal Vick being such a great football player but when they Cheer him in and chant for him, I constantly think of the poor dogs who he use to fight...and I do chuckle when he cries cause he can't own a dog...I guess that's his karma.

I am more a Giants fan than JETS, but I have always been the underdog, and I route for the underdog. I go with the team, or group whose chances are slim, and when they do well I get very excited.

So when I heard the jets made it to the playoffs and not giants i was a little sad. But when the jets beat the colts last night, I was pretty excited. NY had a chance to rock it, like it always does. And my face book staus was: "Hey Jets doubters...you can go cry in the corner with your tails between your butt ♥ J-E-T-S!!!!!"

That's my post for today, tomorrow i will be posting about a great book I recently read "Dirty, Sexy Politics" by John McCain's daughter Meaghan McCain. It is an awesome book for any confused young voter to read, and it showed me a lot about John McCain, and not just the 2008 campaign that went down in flames thanks to You-Betcha-Sarah, but what the Bush administration did to him in 2000 when he was running in the primaries against the man who ruined our country.

Speaking of football, i'll leave you with my favorite Kenny Chesney song EVER and a song I dedicated to my cousins highschool football team when they won the NJ state champs for his division. I dedicated it to the team on my country radio show the next day!

Happy 76th to the King

Today would have been Elvis Presley's 76th birthday.
I went to a Elvis/Sinatra cover band show and it was a great, great time! Spent time with my mom, dad and knights of columbus.
The show was a great time, and all the hits were sang by Elvis!
He had my table up and dancing and causing quite a commotion from the music.

Elvis did this song tonight and I was up and dancing like a dancing fool!

*I remember hearing this song in Looking Whos Talking 2, and loving when John Travolta did the song :) hearing it tonight brought me back to when that movie and Kindergarten Cop were my favorite movies...when I was 7 or 8 years old. I remember one snow storm day I watched those movies all day long :)

New Year...Heyy oh!

So I was thinking of ways to create an audio portfolio type page for me, so I can show potential job's what I can do, while I'm still in school. And i stumbled upon my Blogger that I started last year. The one where I said I would start to blog my feelings about pop-culture etc etc.
Well I became so busy this past year with school, radio station at school and then this summer my internship i seemed to neglect it. So here we are 2011, and I want to really write about what I love: Celebs and the stupid things they do, ooh and music....what I'm loving, what I'm hating and what I think you should just completely ignore when iTunes store pops up.

I'll give you a little note on my music...I'm a BIG country music, classic rock fan. I always say my dream job would be doing a country show (and getting paid for it) with a side of Tom Petty. OMG I love Tom Petty, and a lot. I recently saw him this summer and didn't sit at all, well maybe for one or two songs off the new album not that I didn't dig them they weren't your typical sing at the top of your lungs, wave your cell phone from side to side song. Probably the best concert I've seen in a while and we were pretty damn close to the stage: I did sign up for his fan-club just to get the tickets a week in advance and threw out about 150 per ticket...which is really not THAT bad considering it was MSG and Lady Gaga tickets where we sat probably can go from 100-500 if not more.

I'm also a sucker for those damn Glee kids. I watch an episode and can't get the song out of my head they are so darn talented. I remember seeing Leah Michele in Spring Awakening 3 years ago and just getting goosebumps from her raw talent. I knew the first minute she sang "Mama Who Bore Me" as she changed on stage she was something to remember and she'd be in pop culture in a big way...if I had put my money down on that I'd have some more.

I'll leave you with a song I'm in love with right now. "Felt Good On My Lips" by Mr. Tim McGraw (He's always a good music choice) It's currently #1 on the country billboard charts and he's currently starring in "Country Strong" with Leighton Meester and of course Gwyneth Paltrow. The director came up with the idea for the movie when she was reading magazines about Britney Spears and her downward spiral she was having 4 years ago. She wrote up a script, made her way to Nashville and wah-la! A masterpiece was created.

That's it for this post tonight, stay tuned American Idol starts up very soon and there's 2 ne judges who I am VERY excited about. I just don't know if America is ready for Steven Tylers drunken honesty.

Stern to take over cowell, and a Kardashian Vs. Kendra type superbowl

Howard Stern known for his well...piggish not giving a crap what you think ways..is rumored to be taking the place of Simon Cowell when he leaves to bring X-Factor to the States. This show is what discovered Leona Lewis in Britain. It's kind of like American Idol, which is why he can't judge both in the states.
Howard Stern they say will be more brutaly honest and bullyish than Simon. Yeah, have you heard what he says to people? He will make people cry, and walk with there tails between there legs.
I'm just excited to see MUSIC SUPERSTAR Ellen judge....haha.

If no one watches E! like I do I'll recap what this superbowl Colts Vs. New Orleans really was. Kim Kardashian's beau Reggie Bush VS. Kendra Wilkinson's husband Hank Basset. Hank Basset was recently traded to the Colt's after playing with the Philadelphia Eagles. And that's all I know about football, seriously I'm clueless. But I am a new Colts/New Orleans fan because of these guys. unless they get traded LOL.

And that's how I'm seeing it today <3

More Brit's Please

Elton John to apparently be taking over for Simon Cowell on America Idol. Wait a damn minute...isn't it called AMERICAN IDOL??? So I guess it's "American Idol is picked by Americans but judged by cranky British men?"

The Hoff is off of America's Got Talent to apparently do a dream show..."America's Got Alcoholism?"

I have to say, when I stop having faith and hope in the world, George Cloney reminds me why he's the original McDreamy 90's version. Him and Leo DiCaprio are the original McDreamy and McSteamy. They both donated 1 million each to Haiti. And that is pretty freakin sweet man :)

An album i'm listening to right now is the new Motion City Soundtrack "My Dinosaur Life." I met these guys a long long time ago, when they were only opening for All American Rejects...when they first went on tour. And I loved them then, and love them now. I will always go back to MCS <3 Check that album out.

My next blog will be devoted to commercials, ones that crack me up and ones that piss me off. Here's a sneak peak: guy in McDonalds commercial, and Joes Crap Shack.

And that's how i'm seeing it today <3

We choose life....

OK, my favorite woman to make fun of you gave me another reason to harsh to you. Sarah Paylin. Life and Style magazine had her and her daughter plus son and grandson on the cover. It read "We choose life." Ughhh! I immediately thought to myself "Sarah Paylin, I'm sorry your mother and father choose life...cause all Alaska got was this stupid mug and...you!, and a bridge to nowhere." I love politics, but can not stand when a woman is against woman's right to choose, and not a feminist. Guns are cool, but I choose making the same amount of money as a man over my gun toting ways!

And that's how I see it for the day!
